UNH COVID-19 testing lab hailed as model for rest of country
Students tested twice each week, with results often available same day.
DURHAM, N.H. — The University of New Hampshire’s COVID-19 testing lab is being hailed as a model for the rest of the country. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) toured the UNH COVID testing lab today, saying it’s the only university in the country with this kind of program. It is making a huge difference in terms of allowing students to be on campus.
“I think as the year goes on, you’ll see more universities doing what we’re doing here,” said Marc Sedam, vice provost for innovation and new ventures. “We’re getting phone calls here from around the country about wanting to know how we pulled off what we did, so I think this is world-class.”
