SNHU Students visit Atkinson Heights
January 24, 2025
Sophomores from the Construction Management program at Southern New Hampshire University recently came to visit our Atkinson Heights Project. The job site visit allowed the students to have a deeper understanding of what they have been learning in the classroom and a closer look at the day-to-day operations on a real construction project.
Michael Bean, Vice President of Project Management and Melanie Smith, Superintendent, provided a tour of 3 of the multifamily residential buildings. The students and their professor got the unique opportunity to see the buildings in various phases of construction. Building 2 has a completed foundation and base steel and had just completed the slab on deck the previous day. Building 3 has completed framing, window install, and started siding, and the interior of the building allowed the students to see the in-wall and above ceiling roughs. The tour of Building 4 allowed them to view 2 finished units which are currently for sale.
CBC looks forward to more opportunities like this as we continue to build our relationships with local programs and hope we can provide some of the SNHU students with experience in the field of construction management as interns or future employees.
