Judd Gregg Marine Research Pier

We’re proud to have partnered with the University of New Hampshire on a highly technical upgrade to their pier-mounted jib crane at the Judd Gregg Marine Research Pier in Newcastle, NH.

Our Scope of Work included removal of an existing 3-ton jib crane, structural enhancements to the precast concrete pier, and Installation of a new 5-ton jib crane. Despite unforeseen structural challenges and difficult weather, our team delivered a fully operational crane in just one month, ensuring minimal downtime for UNH’s Marine Research Program.

Located next to the Coast Guard Station, this project showcased precision, planning, and execution. Thanks to the entire Charters Brothers team for making this one a success!
