Camp Allen New Dormitory

In the Spring of 2018 Charters Brothers successfully completed construction of Camp Allen’s new dormitory building in Bedford, NH. As General Contractor Charters Brothers worked with the volunteer building committee to construct this addition to campus of the summer camp for disabled adults.

The dormitory was constructed in the camp’s offseason which brought a host of challenges inherent in winter weather construction in New England.

The dormitory consists of two “wings” of sleeping areas, each containing its own bathroom suite, complete with special features to accommodate the specialty needs of the camp’s occupants, such as oversized barrier free showers. The MEP’s were completed on a design-build basis including multi-zone Mitsubishi split system and exhaust system.
