Town of Danville Salt and Sand Storage Facility
Danville NH
Charters Brothers was selected by the Town of Danville to construct a new Salt and Sand Storage Facility.
This new, ground up, 4,500 sf building has 12’ tall cast-in-place concrete retaining walls with corrosion-resistant epoxy-coated reinforcing, and a salt guard coating. 12’ tall heavily reinforced wood framed walls sit atop the foundation and the fully engineered wood truss roof spans the 60’ building width providing a clear interior without columns. The metal roofing system is factory finished with a long-lasting corrosion-resistant primer and paint, and natural daylight is provided into the structure with translucent roof panels. A heavy-duty asphalt pavement, capable of holding up to the town’s trucking operations, was installed inside and outside.
