UNH Paul Creative Arts Center
and the Museum of Art
Durham NH
Charters Brothers, a preferred University of New Hampshire Contractor, successfully completed a challenging major renovation and expansion to the Paul Creative Arts Center (PCAC) at the University of New Hampshire.
As Construction Manager, Charters Brothers successfully planned and executed a phased multi discipline renovation to the occupied Paul Creative Arts Center and the Museum of Art.
Over the course of a year long project, by way of a thoughtful phased construction schedule the PCAC was upgraded and added onto. Work included a new multistep elevator, new HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical and Fire Suppression Systems. New music teaching classrooms, lecture rooms, bathrooms and office. The Museum of Art received a comprehensive redesign bringing the museum into compliance with current codes and ADA accessibility guidelines. A new Limited Use Limited Access elevator was also installed along with a new terrazzo floor.
