UNH COVID Testing Lab
Durham NH
With the onslaught of the Covid-19 global pandemic, campuses across the nation were struggling to remain open as many had to transition to virtual learning off campus. The University of New Hampshire was quick to develop a “first of it’s kind” Covid-19 testing lab that allowed students, faculty and staff to self-swab and drop test kits at various locations across campus to in turn be “pool tested”, a model that was first develop by UNH.
When the University needed to count on one of their most trusted contractors to execute such an important, fast track project, they called Charters Brothers. Our team quickly rose to the occasion and helped deliver two testing labs, one within a four-week time frame, the second within six weeks, both of which were designed as they were constructed due to close collaboration between University, their design team Harriman Associates, and Charters Brothers. Both testing labs were essential for the University to allow their students back on campus and eventually operate safely under the new norm.
