UNH Jerry Azumah Performance Center
Durham NH
The University of New Hampshire selected Charters Brothers as their Construction Manager in charge of renovating the 12,000 sf Jerry Azumah Performance Center at their Durham campus. This new state-of-the art strength and conditioning center is located within the Field House which is home to the University of New Hampshire’s Athletics Departments.
The Jerry Azumah Performance Center opened its door to UNH student-athletes in 2003. Azumah, a 1999 graduate, made a monetary donation to renovate the center while in the midst of a successful, seven-year career while playing for the Chicago Bears in the NFL.
The new state-of-the-art center features a new HVAC system with superior air filtration, BMS controls, lighting and sound system. New branded inlaid strength and conditioning platforms, side racks, a new 20-yard turf surface, new sports floors, upgraded throwing wall and other modernizations.
